Couples Therapy & Relational Work

A safe, neutral space for couples to lower defensive walls, disarm circular arguments, and rediscover genuine emotional intimacy.

“Intimacy begins where the need for self-defense ends. Couples therapy restores the ability to truly see the living human being across from you rather than your projected fears.”

How Relational Therapy Operates

During conflict, each partner often hears their own unresolved vulnerability rather than the other's words: 'I am not valued,' 'I am trapped,' 'I will be abandoned.' The therapist acts as a steady facilitator to untangle these reactive cycles.

Phase 1

De-escalation & Safety

Interrupting the attack-and-withdrawal pattern. Recognizing somatic body cues before an exchange escalates into a defensive rupture.

Phase 2

Vulnerable Dialogue

Using Emotion-Image Therapy to unpack unconscious childhood attachment wounds projected onto the current partnership.

Phase 3

New Agreements

Co-creating sustainable adult ground rules, learning non-violent requests, and reinforcing mutual respect.
